What do you do to relax when you have a lazy day at home?
I like to play video games on my Nintendo Switch (I’m a big fan of Animal Crossing and Super Mario 3D Allstars) and bake!
What are you most excited about for 2022? Goals?
I’m pretty excited for the spring! I’m getting sick of the cold weather and would like to be able to run outside without wearing 4-5 layers!
What techniques do you/will you most often use in your project?
Nucleic acid extraction and qPCR
What's one silly mistake you've made in the lab?
I lit a beaker of ethanol on fire by accident once while working with the Bunsen burner. It was very easy to put out so there was no catastrophe.
What did you hope to get out of grad school in the beginning compared to now? Or (if you’ve just begun) what are you looking forward to?
I’m most looking forward to getting to use some of the cool machines and robots in the lab!
