Questions
What do you do to relax when you have a lazy day at home?
Playing cards or chatting with my brothers.
What are you most excited about for 2021? Goals?
I’m looking forward to completing my ongoing research projects.
What techniques do you/will you most often use in your project?
Molecular Biology and barley malting techniques.
What's one silly mistake you've made in the lab?
When I was staining my first SDS-PAGE gel in the lab, I added Coomassie stain to my gel in a box and kept shaking overnight. But I didn’t close the lid. The next day, I found a completely dried and a cracked gel.
What are any current problems you are having with your research?
I’m trying to cross-validate my primers of the Lentzea genome before doing ChIP seq.
What did you hope to get out of grad school in the beginning compared to now?
When I was an undergraduate student, we learned most theoretical knowledge than getting practical experience. But here I feel a difference. In the beginning, it was difficult to get along with the flow, but now I think I’m getting things better with the help of people around me.
